Vienna Flights Disrupted Due To ATC Problems

August 28, 2016

Flight data computer problems caused delays and cancellations to operations at Vienna Airport on Sunday.

Austrian Airlines said it had to delay and cancel a large number of flights, and were giving priority to long-haul and charter operations.

Due to technical issues in transferring relevant flight data between EUROCONTROL and Austro Control, flights have to be delayed or cancelled, Austrian Airlines said on their website.

Austrian said there may be an impact on Monday's air traffic and advised passengers to check the status of their flights before going to the airport.
