United, Delta Possible Bidders For Avianca - Report

United and Delta are among the possible bidders for Colombia's Avianca, according to a media report.

Advisers to Avianca have distributed a document to potential bidders seeking a USD$500 million capital injection, the Wall Street Journal said, citing a person familiar with the matter.

The source also said that the process may develop into a full sale, according to the Journal.

The process, which is in its early stages, may not lead to a deal, the newspaper reported.
