Thai Airways Lowers Third Quarter Loss

Thai Airways announced a smaller net loss of THB1.59 billion baht (USD$45 million) in its third quarter.

The loss was an improvement from the THB9.89 billion loss in the same period last year.

Operating revenue for the period was down slightly at THB43.27 billion. Costs were down 6.4 percent to THB45.62 billion on a fuel bill down 33 percent.

Thai Airways is part through a transformation plan to return it to a position of sustained profitability.
