Southwest, Flight Attendant Union Reach Tentative Agreement

September 9, 2016

Southwest Airlines said it has reached a tentative agreement with the union that represents the company's flight attendants.

The agreement with the Transport Workers Union will go out to the carrier’s flight attendants for ratification. No date has been released for the vote.

"I am pleased that we have reached this tentative agreement which, if ratified, will allow us to continue rewarding the many contributions that our flight attendants make to the success of Southwest Airlines," Sonya Lacore, VP Cabin Services said.

Southwest and the SWAPA pilots’ union reached a tentative contract agreement at the end of last month.
