Rolls-Royce To Cut 200 Managers

September 19, 2016

Rolls-Royce will cut 200 management positions through voluntary redundancy as it continues its restructuring.

The UK-based aero engine maker announced a restructuring in November 2015 under a "simplicity and pace" tagline, aiming to save between GBP£150 million and GBP£200 million (USD$196 million - USD$261.5 million) annually by 2017.

The company said the redundancies are part of that ongoing restructuring.

Rolls’ chief executive Warren East said late last year the changes would “take four to five years," but that he hoped to get 80 percent of it done in 18 months to two years.

The company said the layoffs were designed to simplify its structure and processes.
