Lufthansa, Pilot Union Talks End Without Agreement

September 19, 2016

Informal talks between Lufthansa and its pilot union have ended without agreement, the Vereinigung Cockpit union said.

Negotiations have been going on between the airline and VC for four years. Lufthansa said in August, when official talks broke down, that although some progress had been made, no agreement had been reached.

The union has held a series of strikes at Lufthansa as talks have dragged on into a fourth year.

Lufthansa and its main cabin crew union reached a deal in June on a long-running dispute over pay, conditions and pensions.
