LaGuardia Terminal Reopens After Evacuation

September 23, 2016

New York’s LaGuardia Airport Terminal B has reopened after an abandoned vehicle was cleared.

The terminal was evacuated at around 11.30 pm Thursday night after the vehicle was found abandoned near the terminal. Media reports say the car’s doors were open.

Police bomb squad officers checked the vehicle and it was removed for further examination.

The terminal was later cleared for use and is expected to operate normally on Friday.

The evacuation comes after a series of bombings in New York and New Jersey that injured over 30 people.
