KLM Pilots Union Threatens Legal Action

August 10, 2016

The Dutch Airline Pilots Association VNV has threatened to take KLM to court if the airline doesn't implement an agreement on pensions.

The confrontation is over the indexation of pilots’ pension entitlements in line with inflation.

KLM said it wanted to drop the rule as it would lead to a payment of EUR€600 million into the pension fund this year.

The union gave the airline until Friday to return to talks.

VNV said there were no plans for KLM pilots to strike.
