Flybe CEO Leaves In Surprise Move

October 26, 2016

UK-based regional carrier Flybe has announced that chief executive Saad Hammad will stand down with immediate effect.

Hammad leaves “by mutual agreement”, Flybe said in a statement, with the search for his successor already underway.

Non-executive chairman Simon Laffin will assume the role of executive chairman until a new CEO is appointed.

Hammad said “Now is the right time for me to move on to a fresh challenge.”
