Eurowings Cabin Crew Talks Fail - UFO Union

December 16, 2016

Contract talks between German cabin crew union UFO, Eurowings and the Verdi union have broken down.

UFO and Verdi have been negotiating new contract agreements with the Lufthansa-owned low cost carrier for almost two years. Verdi announced an agreement earlier this month, but UFO has not accepted the terms.

The Verdi agreement will see cabin crew get an increase of 2.5 percent backdated to October 1, 2016, a further 2.5 percent in 2017, and a final 1.25 percent increase in October 2018.

Eurowings said it had offered the same deal to UFO-represented cabin crew, but they have not accepted it.
