Computer Problem Affecting Airline Check-in Resolved

November 11, 2016

Passengers on several US airlines suffered minor delays on Friday morning after a computer outage at Sabre caused check-in problems.

Carriers including Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, JetBlue and Southwest Airlines were affected by the outage.

Sabre tweeted later that “Systems are up after the brief outage earlier this morning.”

This is the second technical issue affecting airlines using Sabre systems in a month. On October 17, JetBlue, Southwest and Virgin America flights were affected by a Sabre outage.
