Boeing Beating Airbus In 2016 Deliveries

Boeing delivered 563 commercial aircraft in the first three quarters of 2016, easily beating Airbus’s total of 462 for the period.

During the third quarter Boeing delivered 188 aircraft, down from 199 in the same period a year ago. Of the total, there were 120 737, 22 777 and 36 787 deliveries.

There were only five 747 deliveries as demand continues to slump for large four-engined aircraft.

In comparison, Airbus delivered 462 commercial aircraft to end September. That included 380 A320-family aircraft, 26 A350s and 16 A380s.
