A4A Expects 4 Pct Rise In US Holiday Air Travel

August 17, 2016

Industry trade group, Airlines for America (A4A), expects 15.6 million people to fly on scheduled US airline services over the Labor Day holiday period, up 4 percent from last year.

Thursday, September 1 and Friday, September 2 are expected to be the busiest days of the holiday weekend.

Expanded schedules and declines in air fares are drivers of the projected increase, A4A said in a news release.
