KLM Cancels Many Tuesday Flights Due To Weather
January 7, 2019
KLM has cancelled 159 round-trip flights for Tuesday at its Amsterdam Schiphol hub as bad weather is forecast to cause runway closures.
The Dutch flag carrier said “runway capacity is expected to be highly restricted,” with only one runway able to be used. The airline has “therefore decided to cancel 159 European round-trips scheduled for Tuesday.”
Passengers with flight bookings to, from or via Amsterdam Schiphol on Tuesday can rebook via the KLM website.
The weather conditions are forecast to last into Wednesday, with further cancellations and delays expected.
