Emirates, flydubai Announce Codeshare Launch
Emirates and low cost carrier flydubai announced a new partnership with the launch of a codeshare agreement, initially to 29 flydubai destinations.
Emirates will add its EK code to flydubai flights to eastern Europe, the Middle East and India destinations, for flights departing from October 29.
“This is an exciting first step in unlocking the benefits of the partnership for passengers who will have the opportunity to enjoy the unique advantages each airline offers as well as greater choice and flexibility when connecting via Dubai,” Emirates Group chief executive Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said.
“This is just the start and as we expand the partner network in the coming months we will open up more opportunities for our passengers to explore the world.”
The airlines said they will be adding additional city pairs to the codeshare agreement as their networks are optimised.
