Embraer Switches E175 Order To United

November 16, 2016

Embraer has announced a transfer of an existing order of 24 E175 aircraft to United Airlines.

The order, a switch from one previously placed by Republic Airways, is due for delivery in 2017 and is worth USD$1.08 billion at list prices.

Republic owns two carriers, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America, and operates feeder flights for American, Delta and United airlines.

Republic Airways Holdings filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in February 2016 citing falling revenue after grounding aircraft during a pilot shortage.
