Bombardier CS300 Gets FAA Type Validation

December 14, 2016

The US Federal Aviation Administration has awarded type validation for the Bombardier CS300, as it shares the same pilot type rating as the smaller CS100.

The rating means that both CSeries aircraft have been approved by Transport Canada, Europe’s EASA and the FAA.

“The SWISS CS100 airliners have had very strong in-service performance to date and are now in their fifth month of operation,” Bombardier Commercial VP Rob Dewar said.

The CS300 has also entered revenue service with airBaltic.
