Air New Zealand Signs $2.7 Bn 787-10 Order

Air New Zealand has signed contracts to buy eight Boeing 787-10 aircraft in a deal valued at USD$2.7 billion at current list prices.

The aircraft, to be powered by GE Aviation GEnx-1B engines, will be delivered from 2022.

Air New Zealand currently operates a fleet of 13 787-9 Dreamliners and a mixed fleet of 777-200s and -300s.

The airline initially announced the deal in May as it looks to replace its 777-200s.
