Japan Airlines Plans Drastic Route Cuts

Japan Airlines plans to drastically cut routes, mainly international ones, as part of the struggling carrier's turnaround efforts, a transport ministry official said.

Yasuhiro Shinohara, director of the ministry's aviation industries division, also told reporters that the airline plans to reduce the number of its international routes to less than half of its total routes.
