Lufthansa Says Unable To Resume Beirut Flights
Lufthansa said it was no longer able to resume its five weekly flights to Beirut from August 23.
"Contrary to expectations, Lufthansa has not received the necessary rights to fly to the Lebanese capital of Beirut," a Lufthansa spokesman said on Tuesday.
"Consequently flights to Beirut, which were scheduled to be resumed from tomorrow, must regrettably remain suspended at short notice up until and including August 31."
Lufthansa halted all flights to the capital of Lebanon on July 20 due to the escalation of the military conflict between Hizbollah and Israel.
