Dubai Passenger, Freight Numbers Up In November

Passenger traffic at Dubai International Airport rose 9.4 percent in November to 6.58 million people.

November’s total of 6,581,805 passengers was up from 6,013,911 during the same month in 2015. In the eleven months January - November 75,947,899 passengers travelled through the airport, a 7 percent increase from last year.

The airport authority said India was the most popular destination country, followed by Saudi Arabia, the UK and Pakistan.

Dubai International handled 234,743 tonnes of cargo in November, a 7.5 percent lift from 2015. The year to November freight total was 2,362,332 tonnes, a 3.3 percent increase.
