Aircraft maintenance company Vector Aerospace is to expand its operations in Perthshire, Scotland with the employment of an additional 30 people.
The company has been awarded two grants of GBP£250,000 (USD$401,000) by government economic development agency Scottish Enterprise which will allow it to invest in a new training programme.
Vector is to develop its plant at Almondbank in Perthshire to take on the repair of aero engines. This will lead to the creation of a further 40 jobs in the long term.
It is a brighter end of 2012 which earlier saw the loss of a major contract to repair and maintain Lynx and Sea King helicopters.
