Bookmark and Share

Fraport is to exit its sole Indian airport invest in Delhi Airport, according to a report in India's Economic Times.

However, the report quoted the German airport operator as saying it would be willing to bid for the Navi Mumbai Airport if the Indian government does privatise it.

It quoted Kai Zobel, Fraport's vice-president for global investments as saying: "We are talking to our JV partner GMR and hopefully we would be able to complete the transaction by the second or third quarter of the next financial year for selling our entire 10 percent stake in DIAL."

Zobel added that Fraport would be keen to have at least a 30 percent stake in any venture so that they would have control of the business.
