Philippine Airlines remains keen to acquire a regional airline despite its current major re-fleeting, according to a report in The Philippine Star.
The report quoted PAL president Raymond Ang as saying that investing in a foreign carrier was still part of the company's growth plans.
Asked if there were continuing negotiations with another airline in the region, the report said Ang replied in a mobile phone message: "Yes but very sensitive issue, can't say anything else."
PAL is currently overhauling its fleet to meet higher demands of passengers as it combats rising fuel costs and tough competition from rival Cebu Air.
