Five Compete For Top Job At Thai - Report

Five candidates are vying for the top job at Thai Airways, according to a report in The Nation newspaper.

The report says that the airline's board has received five applications to replace Piyasvasti Amranand who was dismissed in May.

The newspaper quoted finance permanent secretary Areepong Bhoocha-oom, the chairman of the selection committee, as saying that the selection result would be known in September.

The country’s finance ministry owns 51 percent of the carrier.
