Malaysia Airport Holdings has maintained that construction cost for Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) in Sepang will remain at MYR3.9 billion ringgit (USD$1.24 billon) as previously announced, according to a report in the Malaysian Reserve newspaper.
The reported claims refute remarks by an AirAsia official that it is set to go up to MYR5 billion ringgit (USD$1.59 billon).
"Whatever we have announced, we stick to that," an MAHB official said when asked if there would be an upward revision in the cost and further delays in completion.
