May Hong Kong Visitors Up 12.7 Percent

Visitor arrivals to Hong Kong in May rose 12.7 percent from a year earlier to about 3.64 million, data from the Hong Kong Tourism Board showed.

The figure brings cumulative arrivals for the first five months of 2012 to 18.7 million, up 14.8 percent from the same period last year.

The biggest growth in visitors was from mainland China – up 19.4 percent with visitor arrivals from the Americas up 2.6 percent.
