Republic Airways signed a letter of intent to buy 80 of Airbus's A320neo family of aircraft worth USD$7 billion at list prices.
The commitment includes 40 A320neo and 40 A319neo planes, Republic said on Wednesday during the Paris Air Show.
The aircraft will be powered by CFM's LEAP-X engines and will be flown by its Frontier Airlines subsidiary, Republic added.
