The European Commission has launched an investigation into a loan worth EUR€94 million euros (USD$127.7 million) granted to national carrier CSA Czech Airlines by a state-owned company, the EU executive said.

"The Commission cannot exclude the loan and its subsequent de-collateralization, which the airline will use to finance costs linked to the operation of the company, constitutes state aid," it said in a statement.
