Alaska Air Swings To Profit On Lower Fuel Costs

Alaska Air Group, the parent of Alaska Airlines and regional carrier Horizon Air, reported a fourth-quarter net profit Thursday, helped by lower fuel costs.

Net income was USD$24.1 million, compared with a year-earlier net loss of USD$75.2 million.

Alaska Air Group ended the year with USD$1.2 billion in unrestricted cash and marketable securities.
