Chile's LAN, one of the biggest carriers in Latin America, said Thursday its passenger traffic rose 11.9 percent in September, compared with the same month a year earlier.
Cargo traffic fell 8 percent in the same period.
International passenger traffic rose 9.8 percent during the month from a year ago.
Domestic passenger traffic in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador and Peru, rose 17.5 percent.
LAN accounts for more than half of Chile's international passenger traffic and nearly three quarters of its domestic traffic.
