Frankfurt Airport operator Fraport said it is considering cutting work hours at its cargo dispatch unit, Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper quoted a spokesman as saying on Saturday.
"That is an option," he said, adding a decision depends on cargo business developments in the coming weeks.
He said management has already struck a deal with union representatives on the framework conditions if such a decision is taken.
Lufthansa announced in mid-February that it would shorten work hours for ground crew at its cargo unit by 20 percent from March 1 and that is in talks on shorter working hours for pilots at the unit.
