Indian private carrier Jet Airways said on Wednesday its Group chief executive, Ravi Chaturvedi, has resigned for personal reasons.
Chaturvedi joined the company in October from consumer goods maker Procter & Gamble, where he had worked in several countries, according to Jet's web site.
"He has resigned citing personal reasons and he is going back to the United States," a company spokeswoman said.
In August, Jet's chief financial officer, Carl Saldanha, quit the company to join Indian back-office firm Firstsource.
Jet, owned by Indian billionaire Naresh Goyal, posted a loss of INR2.14 billion rupees (USD$42.9 million) for the quarter to December 2008, as high fuel prices and low occupancy rates dented its performance.
