El Al Israel Airlines said on Thursday chief executive Haim Romano has agreed to give up 15 percent of his salary this year, due to the global economic crisis.

Executives at other leading Israeli companies such as Israel Chemicals, Bank Hapoalim, conglomerate IDB Development and real estate developer Africa Israel Investments have already agreed to take pay cuts.
