Plane Skids Off Dortmund Airport Runway

An Airbus A321 aircraft operated by Tunisian airline Nouvelair skidded off the runway at Dortmund Airport in northern Germany on Friday but nobody was hurt, an airport spokesman said.

The plane, landing in Dortmund for a scheduled stop-over, came to a halt only after rolling out over the end of the runway and with its nosewheel on the grass, he said.

The 168 people aboard the plane, flying to Monastir from Berlin Schoenefeld, disembarked safely, using steps, said the spokesman.

Dortmund Airport, which operates just a single runway, was closed after the incident.
