Italian airline Air One on Tuesday filed an appeal to an administrative court's ruling last week that allowed Alitalia and Air France-KLM to continue their exclusive merger talks, judicial sources said.
The court in the Lazio region had rejected Air One's request to suspend the talks and allow it to re-enter the race to buy Alitalia, but Air One had said it would not give up its fight and would appeal.
The two major carriers expect to wrap up talks and have a deal ready by March 14, the limit for their eight weeks of exclusive talks.
Air France's board will meet on March 10 to make a decision on its talks with Alitalia, a source close to the talks said.
