Asian low-cost carrier AirAsia has placed a firm order for an additional 25 Airbus A320 planes, Airbus said on Wednesday.

The European planemaker said in a statement that the AirAsia contract was signed at the Langkawi Airshow.

Airbus is a unit of European aerospace and defence company EADS.
