Delta Air Lines and Air France unit KLM Royal Dutch Airlines on Wednesday said they will start codesharing on flights beyond their hubs in Europe and the US from July 20.

Delta, which is operating under bankruptcy protection, will initially begin codesharing to 10 KLM markets in Europe from July 20.

KLM will codeshare to 14 destinations beyond Delta's Atlanta and New York hubs.

Both airlines intend to expand the codesharing, pending government approvals.
