Dubai International has been named as the World's Best Airport for a third time at the prestigious World Travel Awards.

The Gulf state airport was also voted as best in the Middle East, a title it has won for seven consecutive years. The awards, now in their 12th year, are made by leading international travel agents.

Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai's Civil Aviation Department said: "Our vision is to have an airport which will sustain Dubai's growth as the aviation hub of the world in years to come."
