Cabin crew at Greek flag carrier Olympic Airlines called off a 24 hour strike planned for August 31 after a court ruled the strike action illegal, the head of the main cabin crew said on Tuesday.
"We have just had a board meeting and decided to postpone Wednesday's 24 hour strike," George Hatzis, head of the Union of Flight Attendants (EISF) said.
"We will consider further action in the coming days," he added.
EISF, which represents about 450 flight attendants, had called the strike last week, at the height of the tourist season, in a bid to force the airline to honor what the union called its contractual obligations.
