Boeing said on Wednesday it had received a firm order for 10 737-800 Next Generation planes from Icelandair Group.
It said the airline had ordered 10 planes worth USD$650 million at list prices and also taken purchase rights for five more.
Icelandair's parent company plans to lease the planes to other carriers as part of a strategy to grow its business outside of Iceland, Boeing said in a statement.
