Turkey Visitor Numbers Continue To Fall

The number of foreign visitor arrivals into Turkey has fallen by a third as security concerns continue to discourage tourists.

July arrivals were 3.47 million, down 36.7 percent from the same month last year. The number of visitors in the January-July period dropped 30.3 percent to 14.2 million.

Germany, the UK and Georgia are the top three countries of visitors to Turkey.

The number of visitors to Turkey has tailed off this year after tensions with Russia and a spate of bombings that sparked security concerns.
