Qatar Air Emergency Landing After Bird Strike

A Qatar Airways Airbus A330 made an emergency landing at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport after a bird strike caused an engine fire.

The airline said in a statement that all 298 passengers and 14 crew on flight QR240 disembarked normally.

Qatar said a replacement aircraft was being sent to Istanbul and that customer needs would be taken care of by the airline.
