New York JFK Airport Terminal Evacuated

New York John F Kennedy Airport's Terminal 8 was evacuated on Sunday evening "out of an abundance of caution" after there were reports of shots fired.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in a statement said "preliminary investigation does not indicate shots were fired at JFK. There are no injuries."

"No gun shells or other evidence of shots fired has been found."

There is a substantial police presence at JFK and LaGuardia airports, the port authority said.
