JetBlue Amends Airbus Order, Adds 30 A321s

July 26, 2016

JetBlue Airways has amended its purchase agreement with Airbus to add 15 Airbus A321ceo and 15 A321neo aircraft.

The A321ceos will be delivered starting in 2017. JetBlue will take delivery of the additional A321neos from 2020.

The airline said it retained the flexibility of taking the neos in the long range version – the A321LR.

Many of JetBlue’s A321s are expected to be delivered from Airbus’s Mobile, Alabama manufacturing facility.

The airline, which already operates A321s, has not yet announced its engine selection for the newly ordered aircraft.
