Airbus, China Air To Develop Maintenance, Training

January 10, 2017

Airbus and China Airlines have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop the airline’s maintenance, engineering and technical training capabilities in Taiwan.

Under the agreement, Airbus and China Air will evaluate solutions for the airline’s services for its Airbus aircraft. The carrier’s cabin and airframe modifications business will also be examined.

China Airlines’ chairman Ho Nuan-Hsuan said the cooperation “bodes well for enhancing aviation industry capabilities in Taiwan for the Asia-Pacific region.”

China Airlines took delivery of its first A350 in September, bringing the total in service to four. CAL has 10 additional A350-900s on order.
