July 13, 2016

Boeing and Air Europa announced an order for 20 737 MAX 8s at the 2016 Farnborough Airshow in the UK.

The order is valued at USD$2.2 billion at current list prices, but airlines usually negotiate significant discounts.

The 737 MAX is powered by CFM International LEAP-1B engines, and Air Europa's engine order is worth USD$800 million at list prices.

The Spanish carrier's order was previously attributed to an unidentified customer on Boeing's Orders & Deliveries website.
